about

”One who bathes in the shimmering spotlight, longs for love and admiration.
Yet the abyss of darkness encompasses them and in the shadows it awaits their ruin.”

lyrics

Star of Day, away below the horizon you fall
Pray, oh pray, why does the dark come to one and to all?
Let me tell a tale of old, a tale of a blossom so very fair
Youthful days are lost in the haze, in the blink of an eye
As fast as the eagle flies

Child of Sun, she bathed all day in the brightest rays
Full of grace, the blossom was showered with love and praise
In the breeze she freely swayed, her scent pervaded the summer air,
Such joy everywhere
Suitors came to gaze and adore her, a beauty rare, beyond compare

The world would fall at her feet

“Oh, give me a taste of honey, my grace,”
A butterfly said as he perched on her leaf.
“Oh, butterfly dear, no honey, I fear.
I’m far too special,” the blossom replied.

“Oh, pray, may I sup some honey, my love,”
A fairy asked as she perched on her leaf.
“Oh, fairy, my dear, no honey, I fear.
I’m far too precious, I’m out of your reach.”

Child of Sun, the blossom danced in the flickering light.
Unaware of shadows just beyond her sight.
All she heard were words of exaltation sweet, yet the truth in their eyes,
To that she was blind.
Unaware her petals would dry, and her beauty would fade, a fate no one can evade.

Farewell - Farewell to her glory
Farewell – Farewell oh, pretty one
No tears are shed - she goes to her death
No tears are shed - only echoes abound

The world would fall at her feet

“I’ll, give you a taste of honey with haste,”
She said to the butterfly passing her by.
“Oh, blossom, my dear, you’ve nothing I need.
Your honey is sour, your future is bleak.”

“Oh, pray, why not sup some honey, my love,”
She said to the fairy passing her by.
“Oh, blossom, my dear, you’ve nothing I need.
You’re far too precious, no friends do you have anymore.”

No one gave her a thought again.
